The Bently Nevada 8602-FT-ST is a fiber optic transmitter module used in vibration and position monitoring systems such as the 3300 XL. Its primary function is to convert electrical signals from proximity probes or other sensors into optical signals for reliable long-distance transmission.


How the Module Works

  • The module receives low-level analog signals from sensors (typically eddy-current probes).

  • Internal signal conditioning circuits filter and amplify the signal to maintain signal integrity.

  • The analog signal is then converted into modulated light pulses emitted via the fiber optic output.
