Product Introduction
The ProSoft MVI46-MCM is a Modbus Master/Slave communication module designed for Allen-Bradley SLC and CompactLogix processors. This module provides a seamless interface between the PLC backplane and Modbus-compatible devices, enabling efficient and reliable data exchange in industrial automation systems.
Equipped with both Master and Slave functionality, the MVI46-MCM allows the PLC to actively poll Modbus devices while simultaneously responding to requests from other Masters. This flexibility makes it suitable for complex distributed control systems and applications where multiple communication roles are needed.
The module features dual communication ports supporting RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 connections, along with a dedicated configuration port (RJ45) for setup and diagnostics. Its robust design ensures stable operation under industrial environmental conditions, including moderate vibration and temperature ranges, making it ideal for manufacturing, process control, and factory automation.
